I wish I’d picked up on this earlier...

If the new growths turn black as soon as they emerge, then a calcium deficiency is likely. If they grow nice and green for more than about a half-inch and then the tip turns black, it’s unlikely.

No the growths get about 1 to 2 inches then start turning black from the tip. at first I thought it was sunburn. I have my larger plants outside for the summer. Now that they have been inside for a few months they are still doing that. I sure wish I could figure this one out. thanks for the input.

Use Calimagic at 1 tsp/gal, once a week. If used with fertilizer, add the calimagic to the water, then the fertilizer
Hi Ray - just got my Calimagic, as I use rain water. Can I use this on my orchids that are in moss? And should I use it with every feeding (if I water them more than once per week)?

If the orchids are in active growth, I would add it to all waterings at about 50 ppm Ca.
