Thanks massively kindly LM! This is going to be great, as most of my orchids are under a balcony, generally no water gets onto their leaves. Thanks for the recommendations as well with the safety - and regarding pets etc. Greatly appreciated!

You better keep the boss away...he is far too busy to get sick from pesticides!!!

Very true DC! She is too busy to get sick!!! I had overlooked that! She does sometimes rub her face against some orchids --- never bites or chews the orchids fortunately. But rubbing the face won't be a good thing.

Only 1 time had knocked a pot over by using too much force, so the scoria had fallen out everywhere. Surprisingly, that was the only time she knocked any orchid pot over.

Good call and thanks DC! ----- I have to keep an eye on the boss!!
