Medium treatment without repotting?
Default Medium treatment without repotting?

Hello, just uses the lettuce leaf test for pests and found many different creachers living in the orchids medium. Not much signs outside, but saw same snails, seems like thrips, and other tiny bags( Q: can I soak the pot with medium in any solution to kill the pests without repotting? I have Physan 20, never used before, can I sock in it ( 1TBS / G)? Can’t touch cattleyas now probably will repot Phals. Any advise please.

Physan is a disinfectant, not a pesticide. Personally, I'd submerge the pot in an acephate solution.

For snails I've used (apparently with sucesss) coffee.
Coffee grains on top of the medium or, as I did, water with an expresso diluted in 500 ml of water.
It may not kill them but at least they run away from that pot.
