Phrag. With light burn or something else?
Default Phrag. With light burn or something else?

hi everyone,

I have this phrag. Ingrid Portilla
For 7 months now. Shortly after getting it, it started to have the top of his leaves covered with this brown lesions. At first I used to sterilely cut them out, making sure I have a distance from the affected area but it keeps on coming back. Recently some other phrags, Mostly seedlings, started to have similar changes but not to the same degree.

My orchids are growing indoor under light but very intense light (2 x 80w colorful lamps, 2 x Yescom 225 White LEDs Grow Light Ultrathin Panel and 4 x fluorescent grow lights) all in distance if no more than 2-3 ft from the plants.

Does anyone experienced these changed from just light or is this secondary to bacterial/fungal/viral infection?

I Would appreciate any thoughts!

Thanks

Probably vascular stress. Lots of different potential causes. Too dry. Too hot. Too bright. Poor quality water. Too much food. Disease. Etc. All options.

Granted with no photos to compare, and limited information about your growing conditions this is really just a stab in the dark.

I hope you get things figured out, good luck.

Based upon those photos, I'd guess an erwinia infection.

I had similar issues with mine when I received it in 2017. It definitely wasn't happy. The leaves looks better now (though very light green), but the plant has never thrived for me.

*Photo is from when I first noticed problem. Doesn't have this now.

Did you ever find out what it is? The plant is actually growing very fast and has multiple new stems but this leaf problem is spreading more now

Try adding Concentric Ag "Garden Solution" to your watering regimen. I'll bet it stops it.
