Vanda - leaf turns yellow and brown. Because of the damage?
Default Vanda - leaf turns yellow and brown. Because of the damage?

Hi,

a few leaves on this Vanda were already broken when I bought it. Back then the leaves were still green and everything seemed to be fine. A few days ago the leaves started to become yellow and brown (dry).

I do believe that it simply comes from the damage, but as I am quite new to orchids I just want to be sure. What do you think?

And should I remove the leave or just wait until it falls off itself?

And last question: Could anyone tell me the exact species of my vanda?

Vanda - leaf turns yellow and brown. Because of the damage? Male
Default

It looks to me to be normal loss of lower leaves, and unless you start losing a lot of them, is nothing to be concerned about.

It is a hybrid, and you'll never know the ID for sure.
