New Burr orchid with spots?
Default New Burr orchid with spots?

I picked up a few new orchids recently including this lovely Burr. orchid and today I decided to repot early (still in bloom) because I am the worst at watering with moss and wanted to switch it to some oncidium potting mix. When I got to work on it, I noticed that it had some spots, that when light shines on them are see through.. :/

Thoughts? It had a leaf already go yellow/brown (see an earlier post). Roots looked good.

Here's a link to some photos.

It is very common for oncidium intergenerics to have some spotting on the leaves (your photos show less than usual). I don't know whether it is fungal or something else, but as far as I know it is not considered a significant issue.

Roger Frampton, Roger’s Orchids on YouTube, believes it’s fungal. Orchids he’s treated successfully with a systematic fungicide for fusarium show no spotting on subsequent leaves.
