Bench Design

Hello All,

I am looking for suggestions on the design of plant benches for my grow room. I have scoured the web with little luck. I see that the April issue of 'Orchids' has a few ideas in the article about greenhouse growing.

Space is an issue, as my room is about 12' x 10' with 7' 6" ceiling, so I want to be able to max out the capacity. I have thought about having stepped benches with 3 levels around the perimeter. In the center, there will be a bench that only allows room for one aisle on one side, but it moves right and left to open an aisle on the opposite side as needed to navigate the room.

This is just an idea, and yours sounds pretty good. I haven't got any experience in these things, but how about a hexagonal design? Maybe you can put it in the center of the room? Hexagons are very efficient in use of space.

That is my plant room - most of the plants are in the greenhouse now, but I still grow seedlings in there.
