Default Fumes question...

Hi all. I'm going to have an extension built onto my lanai which will have large windows and sliding doors so I can get a little more control of the environment. The best place for us to build it would be to the side of the lanai that has the pool motor set up. If I build here, this large motor will be running in the same room for a number of hours per day. It will be a screened room for most of the year and only enclosed when the temps start to dip for a couple of months.
My question is this: will these fumes harm the plants that will be in there too?

Thanks

Does the pool motor run on gas or diesel? If it's electric, then it won't affect the orchids any... =)
