Ultrasonic Fogger!!

Yes! It arrived today. It is a small metal fogger about the size of a small stack of silver dollars and works charms on the humidity issue. It spews out a water fog that slowly floats aroud and dissipates into the air. It is a great little device costing $30 after shipping. I put mine in a 1 gallon plastic ice cream container with an inch or two of water over the sensor. I put my humidifier with built in fan behind it so the fog dissipates fairly quickly. The fogger and humidifier and heater all work together to make a wonderful system .

What are the humidity levels before and after the addition Ely? Sounds like it's doing a good job. Do the leaves get wet from the fogger? Also, I am sure you already know this, but I would try and use RO, distilled or deionized water as ultrasonic humidifiers also put mineral content of the water used in the fog. Can lead to some pretty white leaves!

I actually don't have a hygrometer in my room, so I wouldn't be able to tell you the before and after temps. I can say that after it has been running with my humidifier and heater with the door closed it is very stuffy in there, almost like breathing in very thick fog. It makes me sweat in there a lot more than with out the fogger. I don't have an RO system... Yet. Soon thought, soon...
I use regular water, but we have a private well about 400 feet under ground. The water is semi hard, but it runs through two softeners. No bad taste or color. Yes, the leaves do get wet, as does the immediate area around the fogger.

I love my fogger! Yes, I sometimes get white leaves...but I just wipe them.
Just ordered those Botani Wipes from quarter acres...so we'll see how they work!
Jordan, I hope the humidity will be ok for your room! Wouldn't want to cause mold problems in the house! Be careful if you can!

i bought this fogger online with a "repair kit" which was basically a ceramic disk, it worked for a few days but now it's hardly squirting water or misting at all!!! I tried opening it and cleaning it and drying it and whatnot, but it just does nothing! And this is with the ceramic disk from the "repair kit!!!"
Any suggestions?

Watch the softened water getting on your plants. Softeners work by replacing the well water carbonates with sodium. It is like spraying salt water on your plants. Over time it will kill the leaves. The salt will also destroy your fogger over time. You might be better off buying distilled water for your fogger. Just my By the way, I have one of these someone can have for the cost of postage. It's not as fun to watch, but I prefer to use a portable room humidifier with "no white dust" (more or less). Mine has a digital setting so I can put the humidity in the grow room at whatever I choose and it will adapt when the grow lights are on or off.
