Default Mac or iOS Humidity and Temperature Tracking?

sorry if this has been covered somewhere already, i searched and did not find anything.

Does anyone have recommendations for a Humidity and Temperature Sensor to place in my little greenhouse and log data? Needs to work with Mac or iOS
while i would really prefer something that sent telemetry over wifi (bonus if it sent phone alerts for dangerous readings), i am willing to have it just be something i plug into a usb from time to time.

thanks

I've heard of other people using this:

Is this close to what you are looking for?

Here are some temperature and humidity loggers but no wifi and no alerts:
Extech Instruments - Thermometers - Datalogging Thermometers

I got the lacrosse one and a and wet location probe. I have it tracking two heights in the greenhouse right now. Once I get all my plants in I want to use the wet probe to track what a seedling may really does for my S/H, so will be sticking it down in a sample pot.

It has a nice website and a device aware web design. So when I log in o y iPhone I get a super phone friendly version of the site, it looks like a stand alone app but is web based.

It does email or txt alerts and is really just what I needed for the most part.

Thanks

Have you gotten the La Crosse system set up? What does it cost each year for the "Enhanced" service? Am I correct in concluding that the device does not need your Personal Computer to be on to send data to La Crosse?

yeah i had it set up in just a few minutes, you need a computer to set it up and define the alert levels, but then it just has a part that plugs to a router and the part in the greenhouse. from then on out you interact with it thru a website and maybe could do the whole set up online thru a phone.

im pretty happy with it, i do wish i had a few more options as to how to look at the data, but it works well.
