High pressure (1000 psi) fog systems?

Anyone here using a high pressure fog system? I am considering purchasing an Aeromist direct drive , 1/6 gpm pump.

Well, I have designed and built a custom high pressure fog system for my 200 sq. ft. conservatory.

I purchased a CAT brand 2DX05ELS pump head from Aeromist:

and have coupled that with a 1/2 hp, inverter duty induction motor and VFD controller from AutomationDirect:
electric motor
GS1 Drive Units (120 / 230 VAC) Products

At the moment I am running this with 5 0.008" fog nozzles on nylon high pressure line.

I took some photos, now I need to find the camera/computer cable that is buried under papers on my desk.

I don't know if the fog will show up very well. The output from the nozzles is a true fog, it looks like smoke, at 50% RH it quickly evaporates, long before reaching the ground. The RH has to get up around 80+% for the fog droplets to persist and then the room starts filling with fog.

CAT recommends changing the pump oil every 500 hours of runtime. For me I think this will equate to 2X per year.

Attached is a picture of the fog nozzles in operation. You can barely see the fog. Each nozzle is putting out about 75 ml/minute.

How large of an enclosure are you setting up the fogger in? If it's in a terrarium/orchidarium sized setup, you can look into a small unit made by a reptile supply company call ZooMed. It's an ultrasonic fogger system that works pretty darn well for that type of thing. I have one in my home made orchidarium.

Here is a video (not mine, but it shows how it works) of the fogger in action. It's a reliable unit that can be hooked up to Zoo Med's "hygrotherm" humidity/thermostat to precisely control the temperature and humidity of your enclosure automatically.

This can work for an enclosure in upwards of 200 gallons (I've used it in terrariums for all kinds of reptiles and amphibians in the past and now my orchids)

As I mentioned in the 2nd post of this thread, my conservatory is about 200 square feet. This is a volume of about 2000 cubic feet. A bit larger than a typical terarrium.
