Thanks Nick, I was just hoping to not have the thin sticky ones. I wanted the real hard tag printer. Oh well... Thank you!

I was interested in a hard tag printer as well, until I learned that they would be to expensive for a hobby grower. I haven't seen actual prices, but maybe some day they will be more affordable!

I got a Dymo 210D on sale at Staples for $17 but can only print 2 lines, it didn't come with power adapter but I'm using rechargable batteries. It works fine and I use black on white tape which can be expensive but found 1 on clearance at Walmart for $5.

I've been using a Brother P-touch for about 10 years, and the oldest labels (I use clear with black ink) still look pristine - no fading, stretching, warping, etc.
I put them on aluminum tags, attached by wire, that are about 3/4" x 2" that I get at the local farm/garden store for around $6 for a box of 50. Learned through tragedy and horror to attach the label to the *plant* not the pot, hanger, etc. We are kind of hurricane-prone. My brother gave me the labeler, and I've told him numerous times that it has made me "queen of the orchid geeks."
Cheers - Nancy
