Default Autoclaves

Could somebody please share their knowledge about steam autoclaves? Which is the "best" manufacturer? I'm searching for one to begin sowing seeds. Thanks in advance.

Sorry I can't help you with an answer but I'm going to move this into our Parts & Equipment Forum. I think you have a better chance of getting the information you need there. Good luck

Chococatte,
can't say i reccomend any one particular brand of autoclave, however I do want to offer a word of caution when buying a used one. Just make sure you thoroughly check the thing before paying for one. There are some reputable used scientific equipment companies that you could check out. Often times they are just 'upgrading' and need to sell their 'smaller' autoclave. Since you are in Gainesville, check with someone in the med./ or hort. science dept. from UF to see if they have any leads or suggestions. Otherwise a brand new or even used one is gonna be Pricey w/ a capital 'P'.

Oh no I've seen the prices of those autoclaves (i.e. Dental, Tatoo, Vet, etc). I talking about the ones that look more like a pressure cooker pot.
