Default a couple terrestrial orchids.

got these two off of eBay. the spotted one is really cool. I lucked out and had them under a bush so the hail did not get them.

Are they under a hydrangea? We'd like to see photos of that in bloom, too!

no even better a Chinese paper bush. it blooms in February and smells incredible. even better then a Daphne, nothing like blooms with snow on the ground.

oops I was way off. sorry about that. we are zone 7 and thats what it can handle. it is even potted and did fine last year with the very cold weather we had. it is cool it looses its leafing it has white flower buds on it all winter till they open. it is a heavily smell though it does not travel very far some have to go too it and sniff it up (G) daphne smell almost the same though not quit as nice but its s close audit travels a bit more. we have 5 of them and the paper bush they all bloom at different times.
we have a rice paper plant we are hoping will come back but so far no.
