Default Newest Aquisitions that'll End Up as Yard Orchids

Went to H.D. the other day to pick up some stuff, saw two Dtps.'s and couldn't resist them. They'll go nicely into my Phalaenopsis Project.

The yellow Oncid. intergeneric is the BTCM. Hwuluduen Chameleon I posted a question about a week or so ago.

The lighter of the two Dtps.'s is a Dtps. Queen Beer.
I sometimes wonder what was going through the mind of the person that names hybrids. But then, I sometimes wonder what was going through the mind of the parent when they named their kid, too.

The darker purplish one is a NoID. From its color, it has to be a Dtps.
They'd been rather beaten up. Their roots don't look to be in very good condition. If I can't get them mounted in the Geometry tree tomorrow, it'll be at least a week before I can get to it. We're taking off on our Hawai'ian vacation, heading over to Moloka'i for a few days.
Then, I've got a Schombergkia hybrid about to bloom. I'm worried it will bloom and fade before I get back. That would really tick me off.

EDIT:
The name Queen Beer has stuck in my mind. So, I went looking for a photo of it.
What I found was a Dtps. Queen Beer 'Red Sky'. It looks just like the dark purple one. I'm thinking that the tag was switched from the purple to the white flowered plant.
Plus, it is a Chinese hybrid. Interesting, but it still doesn't explain the name.

I'm finding that many of the orchids that I buy through the farmer's markets, when they have tags, the names end up being hybrids of Asian origin, China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc. I'm thinking that many of the growers and breeders around here import a lot of Asian hybrids, probably flasks. Then, they raise them for sales or breeding. Just my guess.
