Default Growing like a weed...

this orchid has been around for about 25years,my father gave it to me a few years ago and its been growing like a weed and has bloomed beautifully this year as you can see.i also took a piece off and gave it a nice spot on our tree out front where it seems to be very happy.

Beautiful! Do you grow it outdoors all year? I guess you do if it's mounted on the tree. Do you know the name of it? Great growing! I wish I had an heirloom like that!

Awsome! It looks like Oncidium sphacelatum. I have one that's just starting to bloom. It's the orchid worlds version of Kudzu. It just grows like crazy and becomes a monster in few years. I love the way you used it in the landscape. Very nice.

Oh! Then I need to adjust my thinking on mine then. I've been keeping it inside because I didn't think it would like outdoor heat.

Thanks for the beautiful flowers. Yes naturally this species will grow like a weed . And this one can grow on ground level even no need to mount .
This is called Kandian dancer .
