RJSquirrel: Whomever you buy your JarWorlds from must love it when you get new 'chids.

"In the late '80s, escargot represented a $300 million a year business in the United States." Escargot - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia That'll buy a few plants...

Yuk! I would totally go for the cinnamon + alcohol solution instead.

hey man them jars cost me 99 cents each at the dollar store and the net baskets cost 50 cents at the hydroponic gardening center. Granite chips are 3.00 for a bag I can barely carry. The sphagnum I pay 15.00 a brick for bec I like good fresh moss that will regrow. The orchiata Im liking is about 5 bucks for a good sized bag. Other than the plant not much money at all in them .
I have to stop telling people where I get my fish bowls from bec last week I went to buy a few more and they were all gone..:*(..So I found another stash of the same kind.

Thank goodness!!

You tube killed the 1080p HD I recorded that in. I need to find a way now to get better video online...hmmmm..

But thanks you all... I like it if you like it !!!

Or you can just "a-salt" the problem.

Still, the Jackbooted Heel of Destiny is a fairly simple solution. I've always quite enjoyed lobbing them as hard as possible into other gardens. Yes snail, you may live. But not here.

I had a friend give me some golden apple snails for my fishtank. I contended they eat plants, he swore blind they didn't. Good bye, lovely (and relatively expensive) cryptocoryne!

Beautiful growing area! All your orchids look happy and healthy. I'm not familiar with that technique using the glass bowls. How does that work?

Too bad you don't have the snail eating snakes King has. Your orchid garden looks quite lovely. Glad you like your new home!
