Default Outdoor automatic watering system

epiphyte78's thread about Quail Botanical Gardens got me interested again in outdoor watering systems for mounted orchids. In particular, orchids mounted on permanent objects such as trees, boulders, cinder block walls, ect. Does anyone have a pre-existing setup they wouldn't mind sharing in detail or have pictures and knowledge of someone/someplace that does have this kind of setup? I already am in the process of contacting SDOS and Quail Botanical Gardens to see if I can get an insider peek at their setup. I will definitely be sharing if I find any information.

I use a micro sprinkler system from Lowes and HD, using low pressure drip lines, mister heads and an automatic timer. It's really easy to setup. A lot of the Lowes stuff is can be found at Drip Irrigation, but you can just look up drip watering system online.

Could you post pictures of your setup? I would like to see position of mister heads and so on.

This is what I use as well, it works great and is easy to customize. I get my stuff at HDepot...I think it's called DRIP or something. The little bags of hose ends are in yellow a blue bags sorted in labeled boxes. What is great about is that I can move the watering zones around.

The line also has a timer that I paid about $45 dollars for and it takes care of the watering during the week. I'll get out there and hand-water/fert on Sunday to get a good look at everything.

It is one of the few things about orchids that I didn't spend a ton of money on. !
