Default My new Additions...

I just wanted to share my 5 newbies that I added to the collection this Saturday. Given more $$ I would have gotten a ton more, but of course, funds are limited.

Anyway, I shouldn't be sad as I got some new gorgeous babies... There was a big sale (and still going on until Sunday) at Tom Ritter orchids. So, I got some really good deals, but still spent more then planned!

No pics yet, but here's the list:

1. Phal. Violaceae 'Borneo' $12.50, but got overcharged at $17.50 and didn't realize till later
2. Neo. Falcata $12.50
3. V. Robert's Delight (red spot) $5.00 (not blooming size yet)
4. V. Denisoniana x Asc. Peggy Floo
AND....(drumroll please) my new favorite....
5. Trichoglottis Brachiata (in bud some blooms open, and smells delish!) $35.00

I decided to try my hand at my first mounts (already had some cork on hand) and mounted the Neo and the Phal. I had to remount the Neo. last night because I thouglt I might be strangling him. I think he was fine, but it was fun to try my hand at it again. I think I got him a bit better situated this time. Anyway, just wanted to share in my new joys. Will take some pics and post soon in the appropriate place!

I forgot to mention the V. Den x Asc. Peggy Foo (not Floo) was $15.00 and supposedly blooming size, but I don't think so...we will just have to wait and see! Great root system on her though!

Very nice list, Jenn!

Maybe if you contact Tom and explain the overcharge, he can give you a credit towards a future purchase...just a thought

Yes, I think they would probably credit me. I have just been too lazy. I saved my receipt of course, but the sale ends this weekend. I was thinking I might go in person on Satuday with the plant, receipt and detailed receipt to try to get a $5 plant. I could always use another $5 vanda or soemthing else too...

Thank you for the compliaments. I could have walked out with 100 more because everything there was so gorgeous. I have really been wanting that Trich though.... I can smell it whenever I walk through my front door (orchid area is by the front door). It is wonderful. I think every orchid lover should have one!

You've been here long enough! You know all we want is pictures!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Yes, I have been here long enough to have figured that out! Too bad I am a lazy picture taker. I will get them soon enough though and dazzle everyone with my glorious orchids. HAHA...

Alright, don't know if anyone will see this, but I am working on resizing pics as I type. I will post them to the appropriate galleries when they are finished. So, probably orchids in bloom, vandas, etc. So go check them out in a bit if you want!
