Default Vanilla phaeantha

I thought I would make a thread just for the Vanilla phaeantha. Please share your photos or experiences of this beautiful orchid, especially in the wild!

Here are the four photos I took:

I hope you enjoy them.

Those flowers are just wonderful. Great pics.

Have you noticed a tiny spider or similar near the top of the flower in the third pic?

Nice shot Justin. I've taken many shots of this flower but I'm having trouble finding my shots of vanilla flowers but here's one.

Justin, just wanted to say that I looked at your vanilla photos, then snooped through all the rest. Incredible photography work, would love to have 1/2 of your talent....maybe a better camera as well.

I just added it last night...your post inspired me to get these photos uploaded and the page added to the database.

Very beautiful pictures! On a side note, is it even possible to grow a vanilla orchid in the house? Or do they only really grow well in the wild? I LOVE orchids and I LOVE vanilla! So I was just wondering if this is a plant I could grow?
Thnx- Katie
