Default Latest picture's from the Glades

As per request here is my latest finds from the Fakahatchee Strand. When we were getting ready to go in we had the hawk greet us. We also came across a couple wild tangerine trees loaded with fruit. I couldn't help myself and tried one I have never had anything that sour. yuk!. Also I took some pictures of some air plants, Bromeliades, moon flower, grayfish, and some new Ghost. Thanks for lookin

Fantastic pics, Dave. This was a treat. Never have seen a hawk perched still in a tree, always just gliding in the skies. Is that a lobster? Your's or the hawks dinner?

Yeah Dave, killer pics. It's so cool seeing those plants in the wild. I can't wait for orchid season!

Sandy, that's a crayfish (crawfish, crawdad, mudbug). It's kind of like a mini lobster, only one would be a small meal.

Your welcome. I deferred to the hawk on this one. It is a fresh water relative. Sometimes called Mud bugs, Crawdads, or Rock Lobsters. I personal would need about a dozen more to make a meal, with lots of melted butter. yum! They are only about 3 inches long.
