Default Eulophia alta (Wild Coco)

Known as the Wild Coco or the Young Palm Orchid (owing to its plicate leaves). I photographed this orchid today on the western side of Brevard Co, FL, somewhere between the towns of Geneva and Mims. The entire plant had 31 flowers and buds...each flower is about 1.5 inches tall.

Canon Digital Rebel XTi (EOS 400D), Sigma 105mm macro, natural light.

Enjoy!

Prem,

Beautiful photographs!

Do these beauties have a fragrance?

No fragrance that I could detect, which was somewhat unexpected.
