Default Northwestern Twayblade

Listera banksiana (caurina) is common in the northwest, but this is a rare three-leaved form.

Native Orchids of the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian Rockies: Two Twayblades, a Coralroot and a Bog Orchid at Lake Elizabeth.

Thanks, Bud. It is quite delicate, but also rather nondescript. Most people would not even see it.

It is, isn't it, Tindo. This is one of the reasons I like macro work. There is a whole world of beauty that passes unnoticed because it's so small.
