Default Orchids along the Old Blewett Road

The Old Blewett Road runs along Highway 97 in eastern Washington for about 10 miles. It is no longer maintained but is a wonderful place for native orchids and other wildflowers including the Washington Twinpod.

We live in an awesome area, Sonya. All the time we've lived here we've still only begun to see all that there is to see.

I know that barn! My mother and I took pictures of it and one of her friends did a painting from those pictures. She went to Central and spent a few years at a fire lookout near Wenatchee, so she went through there quite often. Beautiful area, where the trees start again.

You are exactly right. We've stopped more than once for pictures.
