Default Fakahatchee finds

Hi all, I had a great day in the Strand today. The water was up to 3ft. in places, which made for a much cooler day.

We also had the pleasure of finding 4 ghost flowers, a few blooming Dingy Star orchids, and some blooming Ridged Epidendrum also a nice find of a dozen plants with spiking and flowering Polystachya concreta (yellow helmet orchid).
Some pretty wild flowers and a couple critters. A shy swamp rat and tree frog

Hope you enjoy the photos

Great shots--I stared and stared at the picture with the ferns and couldn't figure out what I was looking at until I saw this eye staring back. Thanks for treking around in the heat and humidity of Florida and sharing your wonderful finds

Hahah, I didn't notice what it was either (thought it was a swamp fern) until you pointed out that there was an eye!

Wonderful pics. Thanks for sharing!
