Thank you, at least one person who understands me .. LOL. What chance you can walk on the spot, I am far from home.
I look at my ghost orchids every day in my terrarium and I believe to be in the Fakahatchee Strand (without the mosquitoes, bears, gators ...).

Growing conditions

Bark cork, installed a terrarium. 3 neon (2 cold and hot 1). The plant is located about ten cm. The terrarium is heated with a heating cord buried in the sand. A fogger provides moisture that runs between 85 and 95% see 100%. A fan type 24/24 PC running low. It allows for temperatures between 20 ° C at night and 30 ° C during the day, the fluctuations appear to function room temperature. And what really changed everything is installing a mist that runs in 2 cycles 2 sprays in the morning and evening (45 sec / phases) plus a supply of water with fertilizer in the morning before leaving the job. I give less water in winter.

Great job. Amazing. That's the first one I've seen. How old was it when you first put it in the tank? How long did you wait till bloom? Wow man what a great job. Congratulations.

Ghost orchids definitely can captivate people. Me being one.I remember your setup ghostorchid77 and envy you. I hope to someday get one to bloom. Joe I remember my first flower, it was a rainy day and made for a wet day (head to toe) and the we had a hard keeping the moisture off our cameras. I'm heading over to the strand next weekend and I still have your walking stick!!!

I am heading over there tomorrow, Dave if you wouldn't mind do you think you can just leave it by the double orchid and if you're not going there maybe you can just hide it for me somewhere ( not too difficult ) and I will get it. The only thing I miss about that stiicj is the nob that screws off to attach the camera to and becomes an IPOD? Otherwise I wouldn't even miss it.
I'd really like to know how long a ghost orchid takes from seedling to maturity to bloom. I was asking some of the rangers/volonteers and its amazing how little is known. I don't know if in the wild it would take as long or longer than in a controled envirement.
PS I'm not fixing my spelling anymore, I'll just claim to have a lisp.
