Denrobium lindleyi Male
Default Dendrobium lindleyi

First time blooming under my care.

As you can see, color of the center of the lip deepens as the flower matures, from dull, brownish yellow to deep, golden yellow. Also, the color of the sepals changes from reddish brown to bright yellow. This intensely yellow flower reminds me of fresh, yummy egg yolk on sunny-side-ups.

Unfortunately, I cannot detect any smell, although IOSPE states it to be fragrant.

Absolutely beautiful! I love the colors of these flowers, so crisp and bright. I recently visited a local greenhouse, Al's Orchids, and he had a monster plant in full bloom. I could not see the plant for all the flowers. Congratulations on your first flowering, thank you for sharing.
