Another NoID Phal in bloom
This one was a gift last Xmas. It was in bloom already.
The store guys coverd the plant with a shinning stuff for decorative purposes. I was so surprised when I got it that my tongue slipped and said "Is this made of plastic?!!".
I know, I should have been quiet...my mistake.
Anyway, first thing I did was clean the plant with a cotton and water but there are still some remains.
Anyway, I'm waiting for the flowers to die so that I can repot it. It seems the roots are healthy but the media is old and degraded.
I contacted the vendor yesterday in order to get an ID and he asked me for photos. I've send them already and I'm waiting for an answer.

Beautiful bloom!
I think the "shiney stuff" will wear off over time.
I know lot's of people used to use stuff like that for large leaved indoor house plants.
My great-grandmother and grandmother "waxed" the leaves of their large in-door stuff.
Can I call dibs on the first keiki?

Not sure what you mean by that but if you're asking for a keiki I would give it with pleasure...if you were closer.

"dibs" mean what you said.
It means I want to be first in line when one was available.
Distance, distance, distance....
Always a problem.
If you were closer my "bids" would mean we could trade keiki's...I have several Phals in my collection.

Unfortunately, he's in Portugal. It's illegal to move orchids across international borders without a lot of paperwork that is often unobtainable.

We have the same issue with Seahorses.

Now that we are in the communication age, we just need to enter the matter transport age. We already have 3D printers which is a good sign.

Beautiful, great pinkish hue, nice leaves.

Afyer these photos, when the flowers faded, it bloomed again from another spike.
This one, I'd love to know its name.
