Orchid of the Month 2016 Male

October: Gongora galeata. The plant took a hit from a surprise late frost this spring. It was in a protected area and apparently didn't take any frost per se, but it was not happy afterwards! These blooms are late, the spikes are short, and the flower count is down. Plus the pic is kind of crappy. Enjoy:

November, Blc Hawaii Stars 'Paradise'. A Better Gro bag baby grab from Lowe's, this is the third flush of blooms since I got the plant early this summer. Far and away the easiest growing Catt in my collection. If it only had fragrance........

December, Cymbidium Chen's Ruby 'Golden Tiger'. Growing semi-hydroponically under leds right now, outside in full sun when there's no danger of frost.
