Congrats on the blooms!
Please help me out - I have a tiny plant of E. magnolia, and it never seems to grow, has never bloomed in the 8 years I've had it. It's still a live and healthy looking but in steady state. Maybe it doesn't like the state of Massachusetts? Please tell me how you are growing this cutey.
Many thanks
Maryanne

Maryanne: mine has gown on a mount since I got it. I tried to find a piece of wood with a good deal of flat surface. Then I smashed some sphagnum flat like sheet moss and layed the plant on it. More than anything I made sure to tie it down so it had no movement. It lives in a pretty good deal of shade but gets good early morning sun for a few hours. I leave it in the rain unless it gets crazy outside, which happens a lot. It's grown pretty steady since I got it, it was in a four inch pot. I've heard they like water but can rot quickly which is why I mounted it so flat in hopes it would drop dry quicker. Hope this helps if you have any questions il try to help!! Plus we have humidity in the 70s outside lately which helps roots grow I believe

Thanks very much, Alex
I once had mine mounted, but thought it dried too fast. I will have to re-examine and come up with another plan.
Best wishes and happy growing
ML
