Beautiful blooms, very impressive!.
Thanks! I'm sorry you are having such a battle. There sure are some extreme temperatures happening around the world lately! I hope your things survive.

I actually enjoy our winters. I am retired so I don't often have to go out if it is extremely cold. And we have lovely winter scenery now with lots of clean snow and the pine trees are all covered in it. So it is very picturesque. Our cold is usually a dry cold so doesn't seep into your bones if you dress warmly. And we get lots of sunshine in these parts

I do admit than snow can be very pretty at times. We usually get some a couple of times each winter and that's enough for me. Of coarse, there is snow on the mountain tops and it is very pretty up there where it belongs.
You are right about a dry cold being different, though. We have a cold, damp fog right now that is bone chilling. Weather gets trapped in our valley which is surrounded by mountains.

Beautiful flowers!

-50 C sounds pretty scary. I guess that will freeze my face in one second without protection? lol

Those are very beautiful blooms. So delicate and lovely against the bitter snows outside. Well done!

Thanks everyone for looking. The pink and red compact Catts in the picture were developing a nice scent today.

Those flowers are fabulous! I can't even imagine it being that cold! We get a lot of rain in the winter, but at least you don't have to shovel it!

I guess it's not safe to go outside in those temps is it?

Thanks! I just took some close ups of the red and pink Catts that I should add to this post.

It is safe if you are dressed for it but I always worry about the homeless and hope they all get to shelters.

You really need warm boots and mitts (not gloves) and a scarf and hat to go out in this kind of cold.

Thanks! I added a few more pics in my original post. Close-ups of the red and pink Catts and a Tolumnia that is blooming on a ceramic log.
