Default Miscellaneous Orchids

Well I finally got my new birthday camera, a Canon Rebel Eos T2i delivered, and guess what I photographed first? After DH, or course.
I used the kit lens for the Miltonidium photo and a 50mm macro for the other 3.

Nice pictures. Love your Paphs. It's too hot to grow them in my neck of the woods so I must admire them from afar.

Actually, I was a pro- like, 35 years ago. Mostly I did darkroom work for a company that made filmstrips. I learned a lot about image processing, and I did some color printing- the old-fashioned kind with wet and probably dangerous chemicals. For excitement, I got to photograph thermostats and cans of pudding. There is, however, an art to photographing thermostats
I've shot a few weddings over the years. That is too nerve wracking, and not much fun, at least for me.
Now, it's birds, orchids, small invertebrates that my husband finds, and scenics when we travel.
