Evan, my Phal schilleriana...almost sister to stuartiana... has spikes about 4" ~ 5" at this point. Hope to see flowers maybe by late March.... so hang in there!
I think I have both a stuartiana and a schilleriana on schedule to beat you to bloom.

Here are some others currently in bloom at my house (though the photos aren't new):

Phal. x Intermedia:

Phal. cornu-cervi:

Phal. lobbii:

Phal. bastianii:

Both my schilleriana and stuartiana are in spike right now. Schilleriana is a little farther along.

Howard, you're selling yourself short by downplaying your beauties! They're wonderful.

Most of my species Phals are from four sources (in no particular order):

Dowery Orchids
Big Leaf Orchids
Oak Hill Gardens
Hausermann's Orchids

I don't want to rave about one of the sources over another because each is special in their own way.

Al, for the longest time the one pictured had just one spike, and that one spike sat, idle, for about a year. Meanwhile, the plant grew leaves, roots, and in general got larger. And then the one spike started taking off, with two more sprouting out at about the same time. Two of those three spikes has taken off again this year, in addition to a new spike, and yet another is growing.

I have a second bastanii which is still considering reblooming from old spikes and growing one more and a third which is just sitting around considering.

There's ALWAYS hope. Phal. bastianii seems, at least in my experience, to be a pretty prolific plant.

Howard, how are the leaves on your Phal Long Pride Amy? I'm really surprised by how it look pretty much exactly like my Phal Wiganiae (schilleriana x stuartiana). Wiganiae has strongly mottled leaves. It's starting to open buds now, so I'll be posting photos soon.
