Default Some recent blooms

I had quite a few flowering plants this summer, but didn't get around to take photos of all of them. So here's a selection of the flowers which added some color to my summer!

Eplc Volcano Trick x Lc Janet Sparkle
A nice little compact Catt which I bought last year, and which flowered for the first time! I'm guessing that the genus names are no longer accurate given all the reshuffling which is happening in the Cattelya alliance.

Phrag Sedenii
Second spike in my care, this time it had 6-7 sequential blooms (so far) and even had a small branching spike. It's been popping out flowers since June or so.

Psychopsis Butterfly

Phal Manniphil
Primary hybrid of Phal mannii x philippinensis I can't take credit for the flowers, I bought it already in bloom! I think this cross was made with the dark form of Phal manni, as the cross usually gives cream/yellow flowers.

Phal pallens x Rheingold
Also can't take credit for the blooms. After searching for it for a long time, I'm a bit disappointed that it is semi peloric.

Any chance the "Sparkle" part is a cultivar that should have been in quotes? Sometimes vendors are careless about such niceties... There isn't an awarded Lc Janet 'Sparkle' but that doesn't mean that it isn't a cultivar since there's no registry for cultivars.

At any rate, a charmer! Lots of bright flowers in a compact package... what's not to love? And the rest are wonderful too.

I really like that Manniphil. That's one I'll have to look out for.

Is it scented?

Well that was unexpected! This hybrid has popped up at many, many EU vendors over the past year, all with the same mysterious Janet Sparkle parent. Lc Janet does seem a bit odd as a parent, since I detect no trace of it in the flower shape or colors...

I got it from the 'In Flower' section of Roelke Orchideen, it seems to come and go from the list! Could be worth keeping an eye on their site if you really want it. As to the scent, I didn't pay attention. I received the package just days before my summer holiday so I didn't have much time to note if it was fragrant.

I wonder if any of those vendors would be willing/able to identify the source of the hybrid, or the mystery parent. I agree, doesn't look anything like Lc Janet from photos or the parentage.
