Default First bloom on Lc Feathereae 'Misty Blue'

I picked this up last year. I thought it was already blooming size, but it put on 10 new growths just last year. But, none developed a sheath. I was starting to worry.

Made a simple change to the lighting, and within a couple of weeks, the first sheath popped out.

On the 2nd week of this flower. Big, on a fairly compact plant.

That's a beautiful color. And yes, a huge bloom for such a compact plant!

Yes, it is burlap. I wanted to come up with something to hold the media in. In retrospect, though, I should have put it on the inside. Every time I water it and handle it, it seems like i damage the burlap.

I have this plant. I got it as a tiny baby plant. Once I thought it was getting big enough that it should bloom soon, the dog got it off the bottom shelf of my light setup (along with several other plants) and just savaged it. I was able to save a tiny piece of it, and it is growing again, but it's back to being a tiny plant with just three little growths. I think it will be quite some time before it is big enough again to bloom. Very annoying lol.
