There is potential for the next time it blooms! I hate when these things happen. I have a cattleya that is in spike at the moment. It had two buds and one was blocked by a leaf on the same plant and aborted after it was half size. The other looks fine, but so disappointing after the wait.

Whoops. My mossiae is in bloom right now, with no sepals. Just two normal petals and a huge lip. Happens now and then.
