C. Chocolate Drop 'Volcano Queen'
I have been patiently waiting for this first bloom seedling to do something. NOT!! I bought it 2 years ago in a 1 1/2 inch pot on the Big Island. I think it did very well for a first bloom. There are 4 flowers on a single spike. It is very fragrant but I'm not picking up anything that remotely smells like chocolate.

Great job Terri!
I too misunderstood the chocolate reference at first...
I think the chocolate name is for the color, not the scent...

That color is fantastic, Terri! You did really nicely for it's first blooming.

It doesn't smell like chocolate, Terri, but the color sure reminds a delicious bar! By the way, I guess I have a bar somewhere here...

I love this orchid! I read somewhere that 'chocolate drop' refers to the shape and color of the unopened buds.

Not to get too far from this thread and the beautiful flowers, but Mauro what's with the take on some humor... from you!!! The one who is so serious and gives all of us soooo much information about orchids... WOW, I'm impressed!
