Smile Paphiopedilum primulinum x Mystic Isle "Hsinying"

I had never seen this cross until my flowers opened...3 on each stalk

Thanks for the compliments Tracy, I got this one from the OSM sale, it's from Winsome Orchids. Have you ever been to their greenhouse? I was there this summer. The guy who was working there told me that they had had a fire,this spring, that entirely consumed their working greenhouse. He showed me the damage and it was really sad...Apparently it happened while the owner was away at an orchid show.

Anyways, this cross definitely seems to be a happy one and is quite floriferous! I know that Paphs usually only flower once from each growth. The oldest growth on this plant has an old stalk that's been clipped off, plus one of the stalks that's currently blooming.

I've not been to Winsome yet. That's a bit farther west for me. Every time I think about making a trip there, I just end up at OL because it's closer. I suck at directions and get lost often. That's why I never made it to the last OSM meeting. Part of 35W south was blocked off and I got lost on the detour.
