Default A couple current bloomers

The first is phal. Marion Fowler 'Talisman Cove' and a close up of the blooms. The other is Dend. anosum. Love the strong raspberry fragrance on this one !!

They're both gorgeous but I love that Den! If something that pretty has a smell like raspberries, I've got to get one!!!

It actually perfumes the entire room we grow it in, about 14 x 20. Very strong fragrance ! There is an alba variety as well but that one is not currently in bloom. The one in the photo is about 3-4 feet in diameter, I could not get it all in the picture.

Very cool! I love the colors on both. For a second there I thought you said the Phal had a Raspberry smell. I was about to fall over in the thought that I had found the perfect Phal. Anyways, I love it, congrats!

Wow! You have never indulged in a Phal. bellina? aka. Phal violacea v. Borneo. If you like fragrant Phals, you simply must get one of these! Also the Mayasian violaceas have a spicey / cinnamon fragrance. Get cha some!!

I have three of these - one on cork and two on blocks of osmunda. One (the smallest) is a Keiki from one of the others. It has never bloomed and isn't going to bloom this year either. The other two bloom every year around March-April for me. Here is one of the bloomers (the Cork mounted one I think) It does have a pleasant smell, but I'm not sure I'd call it strawberries. The other larger plant also has an odor and it's sort of like burning plastic So my advice to anyone considering this plant - go for it, but be prepared they don't all smell the same or act the same. And one person's successes with anything Dendro-related may not be yours. Good luck.

Almost forgot D. anosmum and D. superbum are synonums.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
