Default My November Bloomers

Here are a few of my most recent blooms. These aren't my only blooms, but they are my newly opened. I can't take credit for the Blc's, Tolumnia, or Mtda as they were in bud when I got them recently.
First is Blc. Chia Lin 'New City'
Blc. Success Dream 'Miracles'
Phal. Tai Lin Queen x Sogo White
Mtda Maui Charm 'Sakura'
Tolumia Genting 'Peach' (that is what the tag says, but it certainly doesn't look peach, does it?)
C. Lavender Ice x Lulu Spots
The best part is that all three of my catts are very fragrant!!!

They're lovely, kiki!
Job well done!

I've found that Tolumnias don't always have the color they should logically have by the name. I even have one called Tequila Sunset that, when compared to others with the same name from the same vendor, look nothing at all alike! How odd

Kiki, you'd better hope Al doesn't see these or he'll be knocking on your door.....they are all beautiful and I'm partial to the catts so who knows, maybe it will be me and not Al.....and since I'm younger and more agile on my feet I'll probably beat him over there anyway....

I'm really intrigued by the Mtda. Maui Charm 'Sakura'. I don't think I've ever seen one of those. Any chance of a better picture? The Lavender Ice x Lulu Spots is awesome too! Love the form and the color.

First of all, beautiful orchids kiki ! Personally, I only have 2 of my total 7 blooming right now, and I'm missing them because I'm off at college!

The pics on OB are helping sustain me though, or feed my obsession, whichever way you want to look at it .

Second, while I have yet to grow tolumnias myself (I plan on rectifying the situation soon!) everything I've read about them says that they have highly variable bloom colors, depending on clone, individual plant, and the conditions the blooms formed under (light, temp., etc) so it's quite common for them to deviate from the expected colors. Personally, I think it's a wonderful feature, because each bloom is completely unique!
