I hear what you're saying - I bought it in bud, and kept it in my bedroom were its cool (its close to the AC vent) and it gets southern exposure.

The orange ones at Hausermann were bloomed there, and the GH is warm, so I don't know what to think!! I'm just sad about this one, because I bought it for my husband who loves the color orange AND citrusy scents, and this one is white and doesn't have much of a scent! I feel jipped.

I keep mine under the lights and temps up to 80.

Maybe call Hausermann's and see what they think? I'd be very interested to hear too.

Actually, I meant to say that I think the color is actually coming along - maybe it takes some time for the color to come through? Its been sitting here in bloom for 3 days now and is already much darker than it was when it opened. I'm excited!

Becky, I bought mine from Housermann's also, and mine is not nearly as orange as Gwens. It did darken a bit after a couple days but it was still what I would call a light apricot color.

I want an orange one......

They've got a 20% discount right now too.

Gwen

I just talked to Fantasy Orchids. He said that it will darken in time but the color can vary. He told me he had one, in full bloom, which was very deep orange. He couldn't promise anything with only buds. I would have preferd buds but I asked him to send the dark one in bloom. At least I will know it is ORANGE.

My other one is pretty, but very light, and never did darken much.

Gwen, thanks for the info about Fantasy. I have ordered from them before and was happy with both their plants and their service.

Quick note: my son is doing well with not a lot of heart damage.

I would have gone with the dark orange one too. . .you'll have it reblooming in no time! So glad you've got it ordered! You're gonna love it!

I am so glad to hear that about your son. . .that's GREAT news!!!!!

Edited to add: Ooh, and they have another good one there that you would also really like, I betchoo: Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Bluebird". . .do a Google. You'll freak when you see the blooms. The one Fantasy has is small like the Twinkle and I think the same price, around $15.00.
