It's soooooo pretty! I just love that bright yellow. And anything lemon scented is a winner to me!

Very nice hybrid, Susanne. How bright do you grow it? I've heard that it can take a wide variety of light conditions. Congratulations on your flowering!

Thanks

The Cyms get very bright light. They are out on the lanai in full sun with 20% shade through the screening which is not much here in Florida.

It is beautiful!!! I had two of those plants, but I have determined that I can't grow Cymbidiums, so I gave them to my partner's mother... hopefully she will have some luck! I'm envious... I wish mine had bloomed!!! Great job!!!!

Hi Elliot

I think you'd need more light than can be provided in an apartment to grow (most) Cyms. They like very high light.

At least you can still enjoy it when you visit with your mother-in-law

I've had good success with this same orchid. I live in Tulsa, Ok.....not known for being a 'cool' climate! I have three pots, all blooming. They're kept in a north facing window and seem to thrive. Like you, i love the lemony scent, which seems to fade as the day lengthens.....but i awaken each morning to that lovely lemony scent....what a joy.

Hi Annette

I'm in Florida...we're not known for being a 'cool' climate either

Luckily there are a number of Cyms which do well in the warmer climates.
