Thanks for sharing this!
How hot did it get at your place? In my area it got 114F! Any of my orchids that got some direct sun were burnt... most survived though. A few did not.

Hottest I got was 106 deg F. And very warm nights. Didn't get any damage, water bill was substantial. All my orchids have at leas some shade cloth over them, I have toasted enough over the years to mostly know the hot spots... but still get surprises.
But topic of this thread is the Fascination of Orchids show... so you will be able to replace the ones that didn't make it. Some new vendors this year.

What are some potential replacements that you would most highly recommend?

I can't play favorites in a forum - I want all of our vendors to do well. PM me for the ones I'm planning to spend a lot of time at.

Oh, I meant, play favorites with orchids. But admittedly, in some cases, this would involve also playing favorites with vendors. For example, I'd highly recommend the rupicolous Laelia hybrids from SVO...

Gorgeous! I am one of the people running the show, so really can't make recommendations based upon my own taste. That wouldn't be fair to the others, who also have nice plants, just not the ones in'm interested in. (Over time, we have arrived at a vendor lineup that we think is all very high quality) We do have the vendor list on both web sites. But best to come and shop.
