The Desert Valley Orchid Society
will hold our
2017 Show and Sale
American Orchid Society Judging
Saturday April 1, 9 am - 5 pm
and
Sunday April 2, 10 am to 4 pm
at
Berridge Nurseries
4647 East Camelback Road
Phoenix AZ 85018

Berridge Nurseries is a wonderful family-owned nursery with a bit of everything, including a large greenhouse of tropicals.

I might add this should be a good wildflower year here in Arizona, and they are often still showing in early April.

We're nearly ready. Our show chair is going to Berridge Nurseries tomorrow to plot out our room and tables.

I've heard from some of you who are going - hope to see you there.

I'm about to take my plants over. Nothing but a few first-bloom seedlings and mericlones, but it will provide volume. And cowbell.

I forgot to bring my phone with me, so you need to wait for photos until tomorrow.

Our member Eric Goo, owner of Phoenix Orchids, has a large number of his own, really beautiful, Phal hybrids for sale. Many are in bloom. I'll try to get there early to get a photo before they're all gone. The fragrant ones go first. (I already bought three from his table... ha ha ha!)]

Eric has a catalog on his Web site of stem propagations of his plants. He sells seedlings mostly at our show.
