OB Meet at the WOC!
Hi Folks!
I suggested to Sue that with the World Orchid Conference coming up (you are going, right?) that it would be an ideal place for Orchid Board members to finally associate a face with a screen name and meet each other in person.
Since many of us may be going on different days and at different times, what I am proposing is that we arrange a meeting site at the conference at a particular time each day so if you are there and want to have an opportunity to meet some of these crazy people we all commiserate with, we can.
I would propose something like every morning at 11:30 a.m. that any OB members who want to meet go to the "whatever" spot. I'll try and get a layout of the Sheraton and propose a location. Maybe a fountain in a lobby or something.
I know I'm going by myself and would welcome the opportunity to meet people to wander the exhibits with or attend a lecture or even make plans for lunch, a drink or dinner.
What do you all think?

 I will be going to both orchid shows, just not sure what day.  The other show is only 6 mile from the WOC.

If I was going to be there for the weekend, I'd definitely being hitting Dr Motes' festival too! There may be a shuttle going between the two...first it was a sure thing, then it was a no, then it changed again so...

According to Andy's Orchids they will have a both at both. Hopefully its a go. I will take Picture for those who couldn't make it.

The festival is a sure thing...I was talking about the shuttle being a "maybe"
I think there will be lots more on the bargains at the Motes Festival than at the WOC.

This reminds me of a question I was going to ask. Can someone take pictures of the actual owners (or the folks we chat with on the phone) at the vendo booths so we can see who we are dealing with? I think this would be a great way to potentially increase advertizers, as well, through discussions as to why the person is being photographed. Perhaps leaving some of the Orchid Board postcards? Just a thought. Sorry for the hijack.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Hey Ross I will be going to both shows and will be taking pictures I will ask the people running the booths if I can take and post there pictures. I will promote the OB anyway I can.
