Orchid Symposium

The Coalition of Orchid Species will be hosting their first Orchid Symposium at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens in Coral Gables Florida on Sunday, August 12, 2007.

Tickets are $35 and include continental breakfast and a boxed lunch. There will also be American Orchid Society judging. No tickets will be sold at the door

Featured speakers include AOS president Carlos Fighetti on the "other" Phalenopsis species; Francisco Mirandaon the Orchids of Brazil; Leon Glicenstein from Hoosier Orchids on the Orchids of Costa Rica, and Marc Hachadorian on the Pescatoria/Bollea alliance. Two of these speakers will also be selling plants.

If anyone in the Florida area is interested, please let me know and I will send you the information on obtaining tickets.

I highly recommend this symposium for anyone interested in species.
