Redlands Orchid Show
If anyone is in the Miami area during the third weekend in May, come on down to the Fruit and Spice park on SW 248 St. and 187 Ave. for the 2007 Redlands International Orchid Show.
There are several vendros here you don't see in the US and to top it off, you can walk through a spectacular display of tropical fruit trees of all kinds.
This is a don't miss show. Hope to see some of you there.

I went last year and was in awe!
The only reason I'm not going again is that I'm saving for my trip to the WOC in Jan '08!
If any of you have the opportunity to get to the Redlands Festival...GO!!!
It's wonderful
I came home with 14 'chids last year!!!

Redlands area is awsum itself. Never saw so many orchid ranges and landscape firms, greenhouses, nurseries, etc. in one place before.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

I personally can't wait...we'll be packing up the booth in the morning and although I'm selling orchid jewelry...I think just seeing all those orchids in bloom is going to blow my mind. I just finished my Lady Slipper & Cymbidium but looking for my 6th one to sculpt.

Not yet...it's being cleaned up as we speak. I'll be pulling it out of the tumbler before the show but I'll post asap. My husband said I nailed it, curls and all!
If anyone is interested, I have the Vendor List and Map for the Redland Orchid Festival on my site.

Hi Ross...my Lady Slipper is on my blog, she's not finished (more polishing needed) but i had no regrets taking her to the Redland Orchid Show.
I also purchased my first real orchid...a very unique Vanda from Dr. Motes. This will be my my 6th Orchid to sculpt.

Thanks Ross...i was a bit nervous with so many knowledgeable people around me but they gave me a thumbs up on my work and even Orchid Societies invited me to their shows including the Boca Orchid Society. What an honor!
