Default Group Disocunt for the NYBG Orchid Show 2009 - All Attending OB Members *PLEASE READ*
Attention all attendees to the NYBG Orchid Show .. March 8th

There will be a group rate of
Adults - $17 per person
Children - $5 per child

Cost at the gate is usually
Adult - $20
Child - $8

*** Please let me know if you wish to attend the guided tour at 10:15 AM ***

This brings the cost up to $23 per person
( I have to check on children's rates)

This includes an all garden pass and a tour of the Orchid Show with a docent for 45 - 60 minutes

I have to make reservations in advance in order for Mary Beth Gaffney - Tour Manager - to notify a docent.

please respond ASAP .. I will be getting back to them on Friday with a sum total of people( adults and children) attending

I will be collecting money for the tickets so please either Cash or Check at the Gate ..
No Money No Tickie ...

I will give further instructions as to a time to meet and where ..

Please let me know if there at any time any changes to your attendance ..

Would love to go but right now it seems like a no go. Have travel doctors appointment on Sun. morning, followed by visit to Mom in law to be for birthday (should bring her to the orchid show, not sure how that will work though). Then need to be at a teacher's book give away meeting in lower Manhatten by 2. Must leave by 3:30 cause we are going to see Chineese acrobatic circus of some kind at 4. Tickets were bought in July. Got to fit church in there somewhere. And a nice long phone call to my Mom, cause its her birthday too.
Thank God I don't have kids yet.

I am planning another group in April ..
If anyone wishes to attend before April .. I would love to go again and will plan for another visit with a group rate!

I wish I could go too - I went the last three years!! But I live in Chicago now...and I will definitely miss this show Except for the outrageous orchid prices in the gift shop, I will not miss those...but I DO miss the first room with the oncidium twinkles on the tree, they always smell SO great

Attention OB Attendees -
I will be hand making OB buttons for all members .. They will also be personalized so I know who you are ..
I will also be giving out Kaffir Lily baby plants to all OB attendees .. This is from me .. cause I have so many of these things - I need to consolidate them .. so .. it's to your benefit
You will also be receiving a Clivia care sheet to properly maintain your new floral addition

SUNDAY is going to be AWESOME
I have also invited a number of my cousins and of course, joelidd himself will be there
So those of you who attempted to help get him on the board with me will be meeting him face to face ..
We'll get him on the board yet ...

Attention .. new information

Docent Tour @ 10:15 AM
*Adult $23
*Senior - $21
*Child - $5

I would suggest everyone take the docent tour and here is why .. these people that lead tours know more about the Conversatory and plants than anyone of us would simply because they have a familiarity with them since they are schooled in the knowledge of the Gardens that none of us are.

I encourage the tour!

Please contact me if you already haven't so I can confirm amount in our group and number taking the docent-lead tour ..
