I live in Arizona most of the year, but am in Chicago a lot. I do usually try for September, so I can attend thie Festival.
Oak Hill, who I like as a grower (got my first Orchid frm them 30 years ago), seems to be a very big supporter, and they always have a lot of guest growers, as well as teriffic greenhouses of thier own to see.
WAAAAY too much good stuff to buy !!!
Every Orchid lover in the Chicago area should try to attend this . . . It's really a great event !

I wish I was brave enough to drive in Chicago. I would go in a heartbeat. Oh, how I would love to go to Oakhill and Natt's. At the Grand Rapids show Natt always has such beautiful Vandas to tempt me. 
I have strange tastes in orchids, I love vandas, I have several, and lately have become interested in the mini orchids. (I don't grow them in the same area )Natt's for the vandacious plants and Oakhill for the mini.
I have been to Housermann's a couple of times (very hard on my check book) but would love to see the others. I understand that Natt' will have a grower from Thailand there.
I can only dream  
I hope.........those of you who are lucky enough to go, take LOTS of pictures for us to drool over.

I'll be at Oak Hill, not sure yet what day either Saturday or Sunday. I'm supposed to take my Sister In law but they had a death in the family so I'm not sure she'll be able to make it. I'm sooo excited to go.

I'm definitely going !!!
I have a home in Chicago also, so it's a little easier for me. I DO try to get there in the fall, just for the Orchid Festival.
Don't know if I'll do pictures, but I will certainly spend some money there.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Ross, that sounds WONDERFUL. It would be a dream come true, wandering through the greenhouses......and spending money  , which I don't have enough of, I hope my MC charge will be able to handle it.
