Decided to kick this thread up.
Today I misted everything, watered my Bulbos, and checked my Nepenthes and Phal. NoID seed pods.
Also got a new orchid in the mail but not making a thread on it.

Yesterday Ruth and I visited the RHS Wisley Gardens for the first time. (RHS Garden Wisley : Days and events in Surrey / RHS Gardening) We saw a few tasty orchids in The Glasshouse, including a stunning Phragmipedium ‘Noirmont’ gx. That photo’s in my camera and I’m not at home so it’ll be a few days until I can post any.

The Gardens were ‘friendlier’ than I expected, despite most being formal layouts, so I approached the Plant Centre at the end of our visit feeling inspired. Inevitably I browsed the orchids. Most were large, No ID Phalaenopsis with a few, small No ID Phalaenopsis with half a dozen, multi-flowered spikes. Nice but not what I wanted. Then I saw a dark red, pansy-like flower with a pale lip: Cambria ‘’Nelly Isler’ so that was one off my wish list. The other plant I bought was my first Cattleya, a No ID white one. The trumpet hasn’t opened properly, which I didn’t spot in the shop. As both plants were very dry I hope that this will fix itself.

Interestingly, the flowers on the Nelly Isler showed more white on the lip a couple of hours after a good soak back at my daughter’s.

Not strongly. I only get a whiff of something, though my sense of smell is poor these days, but it was dry when I bought it so it might come on other blooms. The Cat isn’t.

Has this thread been hijacked? I'm a little confused.

Cattleya dividing time. Getting ready to hack rhizomes apart with a chisel.

After I cut the grass though.
